An early Jewish settlement, dating back to the
Talmudic era. The ancient synagogue in Kazrin is one of many, found on the Golan Heights,
from these times, fourth to eighth centuries C. E. The synagogue at Kazrin was apparently founded in the fourth century and was ruined in the earth quake of 746, at the time when the Jewish population was already dying out under the Moslem occupation. |
